Increased participation, achievement, empowerment for all PUSD families

PUSD is rich in diversity. Yet differences in geography and race are too often associated with variations in the educational experience and attainment of our students. These can be difficult issues to talk about but to build a world class school district, the PUSD communities must address them. We must acknowledge the role that race and economics play in our district, past and present, and seek concrete and practical ways to support the academic achievement of every PUSD student.

• Promote honest and proactive discussion around equity through house meetings and other venues   
• Develop models for engaging and involving more people in PUSD such as   through "achievement academies"
• Examine successful models in other districts for equalizing academic gains across racial and economic lines
